National Numeracy Number Heroes Competition

When you grow up, how will you use numbers in your life? Maybe you would love to do a cool job like a firefighter, fashion designer, or footballer? Or do you dream of dancing, or deep-sea diving?

Let your imagination run wild, and create a picture of how you will use numbers in your dream job or hobby.

The 2024 competition is open until 31 May and will be completed by children whilst they are in school.

How to improve your numeracy skills - for adults

Many of us want to get better at maths, but are held back by feeling it's something that we can't improve. Being good with numbers isn’t a special talent, it’s something we can all learn.

Supporting children with Maths

We all want children to feel confident with numbers, even if we struggle with maths ourselves

Everyone can help children with maths – you don't need to be an expert, School and the National Numeracy organisation can help!

Whether as a parent, carer or a teacher, building our own confidence with numbers helps when supporting children with maths.
